“Tactile Family Photos” is an exciting new initiative that turns photography into a tactile experience for people with visual impairments. Outspaces will help Foreningen Inkludert document the process and highlight the value of accessible visual communication.
Outspaces has begun an exciting collaboration with Foreningen Inkludert (INKK) – an Oslo-based organization working to improve inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities for people with sensory loss. Through our visuals lead & photographer Johanna Frænkel, we will support their communication work by documenting key projects and helping visualize the important initiatives they lead in their community.
This week we started our first assignment together, photographing the brilliant project “Taktile familiebilder,” which gives blind and visually impaired people the opportunity to experience family photographs through tactile image production. The project transforms ordinary photos into raised, touch-readable images, making personal memories accessible in new ways.
In the coming weeks, we will continue the collaboration by covering INKK’s work to create safer and more inclusive cultural experiences for people with sensory loss – including ongoing partnerships with The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet and Nationaltheatret in Oslo.
Outspaces is excited to support INKK’s mission and to help bring visibility to the important work they do.
